How do I know that your employment counseling is effective and will benefit me?
As a professional recruiter who has years of seasoning, I have experienced multiple interview techniques as an employment candidate as well as having used them as an interviewer. I have asked all types of questions of candidates and had all types of questions asked of me. I have learned the nuances and idiosyncrasies of interviewing from an experiential perspective and will convey that knowledge I have learned. Plus, I’ll be committed to you until you successfully complete an interview, which will mean an offer of employment.
Do you offer any kind of guarantee?
I do not offer a guarantee such as a “money-back” or continual, complete re-writes of resumes. Procuring interviews is heavily dependent upon which employment opportunities you select and when you respond. But I can give you my word that you will receive phone screens and/or interviews from the resume I write for you IF you consistently send it out and apply for positions that match your qualifications. How can I make that claim? I know how to write effective resumes and I am committed to helping you procure interviews and employment.
What is the content of your interview/employment counseling?
I offer specific counseling based upon your particular situation, such as interviewing protocols to observe, how to control the interview, how to “interview” the interviewer as to getting your questions answered, what questions to anticipate and how to handle the various techniques used by interviewers: elaborative, open-ended and behavioral.
Do you critique resumes?
If you will send me your resume, I will examine it and send you my feedback free of charge. I will tell you if I can improve your resume or if the document is adequate for you without trying to sell you my service. Resume critiques abound on the Internet. Many of them are “canned” sales letters that lift words or phrases from your resume, create a negative connotation, and try to sell you their “improved” service at an exorbitant premium.
